Alberta invited total 835 Express Entry candidates to apply for provincial nomination through two PNP draws conducted in September, 2021

Alberta’s Provincial Nominee Program – The Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program (AINP) published details of its two immigration draws held in the month of September, 2021.

A total of 835 Express Entry candidates received invitations, also known as Notification of Interest (NOI) Letters, to apply for provincial nomination for Canadian Permanent Residency in these draws.

Draw Date Number of Notification of Interest (NOI) Letters sent Minimum CRS Score
September 14 385 300
September 21 450 300

The first round of invitations was conducted on September 14, where 385 Express Entry candidates received invitations to apply for provincial nomination.

In second draw on September 21, AINP invited another 450 immigration candidates.

In order to be eligible to receive an invitation in these draws, candidates needed a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of at least 300 in the Express Entry system.

The Alberta Express Entry Stream of AINP allows the province to search the federal Express Entry Pool for candidates who meet its specific eligibility requirements and invite them to apply for a provincial nomination for Canadian permanent residence.

In order to apply under this stream, candidates need to have work experience in an eligible occupation that supports province’s economic development and diversification priorities.

Although no job offer is required to apply under Alberta PNP; AINP generally gives preference to candidates who have a job offer and/or work experience or have a parent, child, brother and/or sister living in Alberta who is a citizen or Permanent Resident of Canada.

AINP has now invited total 5,342 Express Entry candidates to apply for a provincial nomination so far in 2021.
