Skilled Workers in Manitoba 296 447
Skilled Workers Overseas 13 712
International Education Stream 40 No EOI score requirement

Out of total LAAs issued, 64 went to immigration candidates with valid profiles in Federal Express Entry system

The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) is one of the most popular Canadian Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs). It allows Manitoba to nominate foreign workers and international graduates of its post-secondary institutions for Canadian permanent residency through its three popular immigration pathways.

In order to apply under both the Skilled Workers Overseas and Skilled Workers in Manitoba categories, applicants need to first register an Expression of Interest (EOI) with the MPNP.

These EOI profiles are scored on the Manitoba points’ grid out of a total score of 1,000. Candidates with the highest scores are then invited to apply for provincial nomination through regular draws conducted by the MPNP.

Candidates, who received an LAA in this draw, now have 60 calendar days to submit their complete application for provincial nomination to MPNP. Successful candidates will be awarded an additional 600 Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) points. This will increase their chances to receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA) from Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada in subsequent Express Entry Draw.

Manitoba PNP has now invited 10,786 immigration candidates so far in 2021.

EXPRESS ENTRY DRAW #211: December 10, 2021

EXPRESS ENTRY DRAW #211: December 10, 2021

Canada invited 1032 immigration candidates to apply for Permanent Residency in its biggest PNP- Specific Express Entry draw ever on December 10, 2021

Canada conducted biggest Provincial Nominee Program (PNP)-specific Express Entry Draw ever on December 10, 2021.

A total of 1032 Express Entry Candidates, who previously received a nomination through an Express-entry aligned PNP, received Invitations to apply (ITAs) for Canadian Permanent Residency in this draw.

The Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score cut-off threshold for this draw was 698. This was a drop of 39 points than the previous Express Entry draw that was held on November 24 and had a CRS cut-off of 737.

Express Entry candidates, who received a provincial nomination, automatically get 600 additional points toward their overall CRS score.  This is the reason that CRS cut-off score for PNP-specific draws is usually high.

Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) applied the tie-breaking rule and the time-stamp used was September 10, 2021 at 16:43:17 UTC. This means the PNP candidates who had a CRS score of 698 or more and had submitted their Express Entry profile before this time and date, received an ITA in this round of invitations.

Canada Express Entry System

The Express Entry system is Canada’s primary source of skilled foreign workers. It manages the profiles of candidates under three Federal High Skilled economic class immigration programs: Federal Skilled Worker Class (FSW), Federal Skilled Trades Class (FST) and Canadian Experience Class (CEC).

Eligible candidates enter the Express Entry pool, where they are issued a CRS score based on their age, education, skilled work experience and proficiency in English or French, among other factors.  A set number of highest-ranked candidates are then invited to apply for Canadian permanent residence through regular draws from the pool.

Since the beginning of 2021, Canada has only been conducting PNP and Canadian Experience Class (CEC) specific Express Entry draws as these candidates are highly likely to be in Canada already.

So far this year, Canada has invited 113, 685 Express Entry candidates to apply for permanent residence.

In order to apply under both the Skilled Workers Overseas and Skilled Workers in Manitoba categories, applicants need to first register an EOI profile with the MPNP.

Candidates with the highest scores are then invited to apply for provincial nomination through regular draws conducted by the MPNP.
