These EOI profiles are scored on the Manitoba points’ grid out of a total score of 1,000 based on their human capital characteristics including their English or French language skills, work experience, education, Manitoba connections, and other factors.

Candidates with the highest scores are then invited to apply for provincial nomination through regular draws conducted by the MPNP.

Express Entry Candidates, who successfully receive a provincial nomination, are awarded an additional 600 Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) points. This effectively guaranteed an Invitation to Apply (ITA) from Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada in subsequent PNP-specific Express Entry Draws.

The MPNP has now issued a total of 7,391 LAAs for provincial nomination to immigration candidates so far in 2021.

IRCC invited 635 PNP candidates to apply for Canada PR in new Express Entry draw

EXPRESS ENTRY DRAW #203: September 1, 2021

Canada invited another 635 Express Entry Candidates to apply for Permanent Residency in latest immigration draw held on September 1, 2021.

Only those immigration candidates who have previously obtained a nomination through an Express-Entry aligned Provincial Nominee Program (PNP), received invitations in this draw.

The invitations to apply (ITAs) have been issued to candidates who had a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 764.

Immigration candidates, who obtain nominations from an Express Entry-aligned PNP, automatically receive 600 points toward their overall CRS scores.  This is the reason that CRS cut-off scores for PNP-specific invitation rounds are normally higher as compared to CEC and FSWP draws.

Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) applied the tie-breaking rule and the time-stamp used was April 12, 2021 at 12:21:45 UTC. This means the PNP candidates who had a CRS score of 764 or more, who had submitted their Express Entry profile before this time and date, received an invitation in this draw.

The Express Entry system is Canada’s primary source of skilled foreign workers. It manages the profiles of candidates under three Federal High Skilled economic class immigration programs: Federal Skilled Worker Class, Federal Skilled Trades Class and Canadian Experience Class.

The Express Entry pool

Each candidate is awarded a core score under Express Entry’s Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) based on factors that include age, education, skilled work experience and proficiency in English or French. This score determines their rank in the Express Entry pool.

A set number of highest-ranked candidates are then invited to apply for Canadian permanent residency through regular draws from the pool.

Express Entry-aligned PNPs

With an aim to attract highly skilled immigrants and deal with labour market needs, many of Canada’s provinces and territories have provincial nominee immigration streams linked to federal Express Entry.

Immigration candidates, who obtain a nomination from an Express Entry-aligned PNP, automatically receive 600 points toward their overall CRS score; this eventually enable them receive an ITA quickly.

So far in 2021, IRCC has now issued total 106,414 ITAs to PNP and CEC candidates.
