Another 627 PNP candidates received invitations to apply for Canadian PR in July 7th Express Entry Draw

Express Entry Draw : July 7, 2021

Canada invited 627 Express Entry candidates who previously received a nomination from an Express Entry-aligned Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) to apply for permanent residency in new Express Entry draw on July 7.

The draw had a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) cutoff threshold of 760. The CRS score requirement is quite high since immigration candidates who meet the selection criteria of an Express Entry-aligned PNP stream and successfully receive a provincial nomination invitation, can automatically obtain additional 600 points toward their CRS Scores.

Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) applied a tie break in this draw. That means all PNP candidates with a CRS score of 760 and above who had submitted their profiles in the Express Entry pool before June 14, 2021 at 07:44:05 UTC received Invitations To apply (ITAs) for Canadian Permanent Residency in this draw.

The Express Entry system is Canada’s primary source of skilled foreign workers. It is an online system used by IRCC to manage and process applications for skilled workers who want to become permanent residents of Canada through three federal economic immigration programs – The Federal Skilled Worker Class (FSWC), Canadian Experience Class (CEC) and Federal Skilled Trades Class (FSTC).

Express Entry is a competitive immigration system. All eligible candidates are ranked against one another according to Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS), which award them scores out of 1200 based on their age, education, language proficiency, work experience & other factors.

The high-ranking candidates are then invited to apply for Canadian permanent residence through regular draws conducted by IRCC.

The Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) is the second most popular Canadian immigration program after Express Entry. Most of Canada’s provinces and territories have their own PNP streams (aligned with Federal Express Entry System and not aligned with Express Entry) that allow them to welcome foreign skilled professionals/workers who can help address their local labour market needs.

Canada has now invited 89,342 Express Entry candidates so far in 2021. This is almost twice the number of invitations issued by IRCC at the same time last year.

In new immigration draw conducted on June 23, 2021, a total of 1002 Express Entry Candidates who previously received a nomination from an Express Entry-aligned Provincial Nominee Program (PNP), received Invitations to Apply (ITAs) for Canadian permanent residency.

The minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) threshold requirement for this draw was 742.

The Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) applied a tie break in this draw and the time stamp used was February 18, 2021 at 04:04:56 UTC. That means all PNP candidates with a CRS score of at least 742 who had submitted their profiles in the Express Entry pool before this date & time, received invitations in this draw.

The Express Entry system is Canada’s primary source of skilled foreign workers. It manages the profiles of candidates under three Federal High Skilled economic class immigration programs: Federal Skilled Worker Class, Federal Skilled Trades Class and Canadian Experience Class.

Candidates, who meet the selection criteria of an Express Entry-aligned PNP stream and successfully receive a provincial nomination invitation, can obtain additional 600 points toward their CRS Scores. This effectively guarantees them an ITA in subsequent Express Entry Draw.

Canada has already invited 82, 715 Express Entry candidates to apply for permanent residency so far in 2021. This is almost twice the number of ITAs issued than at the same time last year.

200 Express Entry candidates received invitations to apply for provincial nomination from Alberta PNP on April 20

The Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program (AINP) released details of its latest Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) draw held on April 20.

200 Express Entry candidates received invitations to apply for a provincial nomination for Canadian PR in this draw.

The minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score requirement for this draw dropped slightly to 301 points – reduction of a point than the previous draw.

The Alberta Express Entry Stream allows the AINP search the federal Express Entry system for candidates who meet its specific eligibility requirements and invites them to apply for a provincial nomination for Canadian permanent residence.

It also provides a pathway to permanent residence for eligible Express Entry candidates with strong ties to the province or who are working in an occupation that supports the province’s “economic development and diversification priorities,” among other factors.

Express Entry candidates with a nomination from Alberta, receive an additional 600 points toward their CRS score, which effectively increase their chances to get an invitation to apply (ITA) for Canadian permanent residence in subsequent Express Entry draw.

During the Coronavirus pandemic, AINP is only considering those candidates who are already living and working in the province along with having work experience in an eligible occupation.

Due to a high volume of applications under the Alberta Express Entry Stream in certain occupations, AINP may take longer time to process. These occupations include:

  • 6322 – Cooks
  • 6311 – Food service supervisors
  • 6211 – Retail sales supervisors
  • 4214 – Early childhood educators and assistants
  • 7511 – Transport truck drivers
  • 1311 – Accounting technicians and bookkeepers
  • 1241 – Administrative assistants
  • 1221 – Administrative officers

AINP has now invited 1,409 immigration candidates to apply for a provincial nomination so far in 2021.

The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) is one of the most popular of Canada’s Provincial Nominee Programs, or PNPs. Through the MPNP, Manitoba nominates newcomers for permanent resident status in the prairie province.

There are three major streams under the MPNP that offer foreign skilled workers a pathway to settle in Canada permanently – Skilled Workers Overseas Stream, Skilled Workers in Manitoba Stream, and International Education Stream.

In order to apply under both the Skilled Workers Overseas and Skilled Workers in Manitoba categories, applicants need to first register an Expression of Interest (EOI) with the MPNP.

These EOI profiles are scored on the Manitoba points’ grid out of a total score of 1,000 based on their human capital characteristics including their English or French language skills, work experience, education, Manitoba connections, and other factors.

Candidates with the highest scores are then invited to apply for provincial nomination through regular draws conducted by the MPNP.

Express Entry Candidates who receive a provincial nomination are awarded an additional 600 Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) points and are effectively guaranteed an Invitation to Apply (ITA) from Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada in subsequent Express Entry Draw.

Manitoba has now invited 2,636 PNP candidates to apply for a provincial nomination so far in 2021.
