British Columbia invited 80 immigration candidates for provincial nomination in new Tech Pilot Draw on April 6, 2021

The British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) conducted its weekly Tech Pilot draw on April 6, 2021.

Total 80 invitations to apply for a provincial nomination for Canada permanent residency were issued to immigration candidates under the Express Entry BC and Skills immigration categories of BC PNP.

In order to receive an invite in this draw, Tech candidates under the Skilled Worker and International Graduate subcategories needed a minimum provincial score of 80.

Launched in May 2017, the BC PNP Tech Pilot provides a fast-track immigration pathway to qualified foreign tech workers and international student who want to become permanent Canadian residents.

In order to apply through the Tech Pilot, immigration candidates need to have a job offer in one of 29 eligible occupations in the province. The job offer must be valid for a minimum of one year with at least 120 days remaining at the time of submitting the application.

The eligible candidates need to first create a profile through the BC PNP’s online portal and register under its Skills Immigration Registration System (SIRS). They must choose to apply through the Skills Immigration or Express Entry BC immigration categories.

The BC PNP will then invite candidates who fulfill the minimum score requirements to apply for a provincial nomination through weekly draws conducted by BC PNP.

Candidates, who received an invitation in April 6th Draw now have 30 calendar days to submit their complete application for provincial nomination to BC PNP.

British Columbia has now invited around 3,000 candidates to apply for a provincial nomination in total 19 draws it conducted through various PNP categories and streams so far in 2021.
