The province of Manitoba held the first PNP draw of 2023 on January 12.

Total 322 invitations also called Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs) for a provincial nomination for permanent residence were issued to candidates under the Skilled Workers in Manitoba, Skilled Workers Overseas, International Education Streams, and  to the candidates having a valid Express Entry profiles (FSW, FST, or CEC candidates) of the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP).

  • Minimum score: 734
  1. Skilled Workers Overseas
  • Total LAAs issued: 20
  • Minimum score: 713 & above
  1. International Education Stream
  • Total LAAs issued: 42
  • Minimum score: No EOI score requirement

Out of total 196 invitations issued in this draw, 27 went to Express Entry candidates.

SKILLED WORKERS IN MANITOBA

This category offers permanent residency to individuals who demonstrate that a Manitoba company has offered them a long-term, full-time job.

This job offer needs to be after they have completed at least six months (continuous) full-time employment with that company as a temporary foreign worker or international student working graduate.

Express Entry candidates with a provincial nomination get additional 600 points toward their overall Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score, which effectively guarantees them an Invitation to Apply (ITA) in a subsequent Express Entry draw.

Manitoba PNP Invited Record 1,030 immigration candidates from outside Canada to apply for a provincial nomination for Canada PR

The Canadian province of Manitoba invited a record 1,030 immigration candidates from outside Canada to apply for a provincial nomination for the Canadian Permanent Residency (PR) in a new immigration draw held on December 15, 2022.

The Manitoba Provincial Nomination Program (MPNP) conducted this exclusive draw only for Skilled Workers Overseas candidates. The minimum provincial score requirement was also decent at only 600 points.

Out of the total invitations, also known as Letters of Advice to Apply (LAA) issued, 656 went to immigration candidates with profiles in the Federal Express Entry system.

The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) offers international graduates, foreign skilled workers, entrepreneurs, and their families with the intention and ability to successfully settle and economically establish in the province of Manitoba, a pathway to apply for Canadian permanent residence.

There are three major streams under the MPNP that offer foreign skilled workers a pathway to settle in Canada permanently – Skilled Workers Overseas Stream, Skilled Workers in Manitoba Stream, and International Education Stream.

  • Skilled Worker in Manitoba

The Skilled Worker in Manitoba Category of MPNP is open to qualified temporary foreign workers and international graduates who are currently working in the province and have been offered a permanent, full-time job with their Manitoba employer.

  • Skilled Worker Overseas

This category allows the MPNP to nominate eligible immigration candidates living outside Canada who have an established connection to Manitoba such as the previous education or work experience in the province, support of family members or friends, or an invitation under one of the MPNP’s Strategic Recruitment Initiatives.

  • International Education Stream

MPNP’s International Education Stream is designed to provide faster pathways to nomination to international students graduating in Manitoba who fit the province’s labour market needs.

Express Entry Candidates, who successfully receive a nomination from MPNP, are awarded an additional 600 Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) points. This effectively increases their chances of receiving an Invitation to Apply (ITA) from Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) in subsequent Express Entry Draw.

MPNP’s nomination quota for 2022 is 6,367 and so far a total of 7,105 invitations have already been issued this year.

In a new immigration draw held on September 15, the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) issued 436 invitations, also known as Letters of Advice to Apply (LAA) for a provincial nomination for Canadian Permanent residency (PR).

The LAAs went to immigration candidates through three separate categories of MPNP – Skilled Workers in Manitoba, Skilled Workers Overseas, and International Education Stream.

The Canadian province of Manitoba invited 353 immigration candidates to apply for a provincial nomination for Canada PR on August 26, 2022.

The invitations, also known as Letters of Advice to Apply (LAA) were issued under three different categories of Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) – Skilled Workers in Manitoba, Skilled Workers Overseas, and International Education Stream.

Distribution of invitations

As usual, most of the LAAs (259) were sent to Skilled Workers in Manitoba category with a minimum Expression of interest (EOI) score of 619. A total of 58 invitations were issued to Skilled Workers Overseas applicants and 36 went under International Education Stream of MPNP.

Out of total 353 LAAs issued, 79 were issued to immigration candidates with valid Express Entry profiles. If invited Express Entry candidates successfully receive a provincial nomination from MPNP, they will automatically get 600 points added to their Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score.

The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) allows the province to nominate foreign workers and international graduates of its post-secondary institutions for Canadian permanent residence through its three popular immigration streams – Skilled Workers in Manitoba, Skilled Workers Overseas, and International Education stream.

In order to qualify to apply under MPNP, immigration candidates need to score at least 60 points according to the MPNP’s assessment criteria. They also need a connection to Manitoba such as a close relative or a family member, who is a permanent resident of Canada; previous employment or studies in the province.

The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) issued a total of 348 invitations, also known as Letters of Advice to Apply (LAA) for a provincial nomination to candidates under three different immigration categories.
