Express Entry Draw #236– November 23, 2022

Express Entry Draw #236– November 23, 2022

Canada issued 4,750 ITAs for Permanent Residency (PR) in a new Express Entry draw

Canada invited a total of 4,750 Express Entry candidates to apply for Permanent Residency (PR) in the most recent draw held on November 23, 2022.

Candidates with a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 491 and above received invitations to apply (ITAs) in this draw. The CRS cut-off threshold has been reduced by 3 points as compared to the last Express Entry draw held on November 9, 2022.

This is the eleventh all-program Express Entry draw of this year. Therefore, eligible candidates from all Express Entry programs: Federal Skilled Worker (FSW), Canadian Experience Class (CEC), and Federal Skilled Trades (FST) were considered in this draw.

Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) also applied the tie-breaking rule in this draw and the time-stamp was set for October 13, 2022, 11:22:17 UTC. If more than one candidate has the lowest CRS score, the cut-off is based on the date and time they submitted their profiles in the Express Entry pool.

  • Draw No: #236
  • Date and time of round: November 23, 2022, 15:42:46 UTC
  • Total invitations to apply (ITAs) issued: 4,750

Canada Express Entry – New TEER Categories

On November 16, 2022, IRCC transitioned to the 2021 version of the National Occupational Classification (NOC) system – – Training, Education, Experience, and Responsibilities (TEER) system. After the new reform, IRCC will now consider the new TEER system to define work experience eligibility for a few of Canada’s immigration programs including Express Entry.

In the new structure, there are six TEER categories, up from the current four skill levels: A, B, C, and D. Under the new NOC 2021 TEER system, there will be six categories – TEER category 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5.
