Saskatchewan PNP invited 198 immigration candidates to apply for a provincial nomination for Canada PR on May 5

The Canadian province of Saskatchewan invited a total of 198 immigration candidates to apply for a provincial nomination for Canadian Permanent Residency in new invitation round held on May 5.

Out of total invites issued, 106 were issued to candidates under the Express Entry-aligned stream of the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) and 91 went to Occupations In-Demand candidates.

In order to receive an invite under both immigration categories, candidates were required to have a minimum Expression of Interest (EOI) score of 85. They were also required to have work experience in one of 40 occupations including Administrative officers, Business management consultants, Manufacturing managers, Industrial designers, Advertising, marketing & public relations officers, among others.

As a special measure in response to the current conflict in Ukraine, SINP also issued one invitation to a Ukrainian national.

The Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) allows the province to nominate qualified immigration candidates with skills required in its labour market.

Express Entry and In-Demand Occupation sub-categories are two prominent streams within the SINP for individuals who have education and work experience in a high-skilled and in-demand occupation.

Express Entry candidates, who obtain a nomination through the SINP’s Express Entry-aligned stream, receive additional 600 points toward their overall Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) scores, effectively increasing their chances to get an invitation to apply (ITA) for Canadian permanent residence in subsequent Express Entry draw.
